The Bryant Lady Hornets hosted the Lake Hamilton Lady Wolves on Tuesday at the Hornets Nest in Bryant, and though it was a close match throughout, the Lady Hornets came away with a 3-0 sweep. Bryant won 25-22, 25-19 and 25-20 to improve to 3-2 on the season.
“Glad we had a win (Tuesday),” Bryant Coach Beth Solomon said. “We needed to redeem ourselves from last week and get a win on our home court. I was proud of the way the girls played, but we always have room for improvement.”
Bryant junior Faith Stone led the Lady Hornets with seven kills, senior Raven Loveless had four, and junior Kristen Boyle, sophomore Ivory Russ and senior setter Ashlyn Lee all had two kills apiece, with Lee adding 11 assists.
Sophomore Truli Bates didn’t have any kills on the day, but led the team with seven blocks, with Loveless adding three and Lee two.
