BENTON
The Bauxite Lady Miners softball team overcame a first-inning run to defeat Pottsville 5-2 in Friday's 4A State Championship game at Benton's Lady Panthers Park.
Bauxite ace Bailey Buffington was named most valuable player after throwing a complete game, allowing two runs on seven hits, striking out six and walking two.
