The Bauxite Miners (2-0) were able to hold on Friday, moving to 2-0 on the year with a 45-44 win over Des Arc at The Pit.
Bauxite will visit Glen Rose in Week 2, taking on the Beavers who narrowly defeated Malvern 12-9 in Week 1.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
