Benton boys bowling takes conference

Benton seniors Brandon Childers and Sam Eddington picked up silver and bronze medals Friday afternoon to lead the Panthers to a first-place finish in the 7A/6A Conference bowling tournament at Millennium Bowl in North Little Rock. Childers’ 652 series was just 13 pins short of gold-medalist Josh Imhoff of Cabot.
Childers bowled a 198, 226 and 228 on the way to his three-game series, while Eddington bowled a 187, 214 and 203 for his third-place finish. Senior Ethan Tinkle’s 603 (215, 165, 223) and junior Heath Kendrick’s 562 (180, 165, 217) garnered all-conference honors as top-10 finishers.
