The Bryant Hornets advance to the second round of the 7A State playoffs with a 58-27 win over Rogers Heritage on Thursday at Cabot High School.
The Hornets used a 12-2 third quarter and a 15-point showing from Calvin Allen to put separation between the two teams.
“I was pleased with how we moved the ball,” Bryant Head Coach Mike Abrahamson said following the win. “We had guys step up, including Lowell Washington who had a good game.”
Bryant improves to 21-7 on the season and the contest ended with the mercy rule going to effect with 1:14 left.
The Hornets face Fayetteville tonight at 8:30 p.m. at Cabot High School. The Lady Hornets, after their 53-48 win over Bentonville Wednesday, will take on the North Little Rock Charging Lady Cats today at 4 p.m. in Cabot.
