Hornets fall in semis

Bryant junior Calvin Allen hit 2 of 2 free throws with 37 seconds left in regulation to tie it 43-43 and force an eventual overtime with the Cabot Panthers in the semifinals of the 7A State Tournament. But, late turnovers by the Hornets in overtime led to a 50-47 Cabot win and matchup with the Bentonville Tigers in the 7A State Championship game.
The Hornets end their season with a 22-8 record. Senior Kevin Hunt, and juniors Romen Martin and Calvin Allen scored 11 points apiece. Junior Braylon Steen had 10 points and seven rebounds.
