PEARCY, AR
The Benton Panthers picked up their fourth 6A South Conference win of the season to improve to 4-1 with an 8-1 victory over the Lake Hamilton Wolves in Pearcy on Tuesday.
“It was good to come out, relaxed and play some good baseball,” Benton Coach Mark Balisterri said. “We got some big hits and their pitcher struggled there for one or two innings. We did what we had to do to get a run across.”
And the Panthers (10-3-1, 4-1) consistently did that. After a scoreless first inning, Benton put two runs up each in the second and third innings, and scored one each the fourth through the seventh innings.
