Hornets take 7A title

Behind Zach Jackson's second complete-game shutout of the 2016 7A State Tournament and Evan Lee's 3 for 3 with a homer and three RBIs, the Bryant Hornets beat the Conway Wampus Cats 5-0 Friday in the 7A State Tournament Championship at Baum Stadium in Fayetteville. Lee, who drove in seven for the tourney, was honored with MVP award. It's Hornets' Coach Kirk Bock's fourth 7A title for Bryant in the past seven years. Joey Cates also went 2 for 2 with a run and RBI in the win. Look for full story in Sunday's edition.
