The Bryant Junior Black Sox, after falling 8-5 to Benton Williams Tire on Tuesday, took out their frustration on the North Little Rock Junior Colts on Wednesday at Hornet Field. Bryant starter Coby Greiner struck out six of the eight Colts he faced in 2.2 innings without giving up a hit, and Myers Buck pitched 1.1 innings of relief, giving up one hit and striking out two in a 13-0 Bryant rout.
This one was never in doubt from the get-go as Greiner set down NLR in order in the top of the first and Black Sox player Jacob Wright walked to start the bottom of the inning. Logan Catton singled and Brooks Ellis was hit by a pitch with one out to load the bases, but Catton was caught stealing third for the second out. Harp was hit by a pitch to reload the bases just in time for Logan Chambers’ bases-clearing triple and 3-0 Bryant lead.
After Sawyer Holt was hit by a pitch, Clift Chaffin hit an infield single for an RBI to score Chambers for the 4-0 lead after one.
