The Bauxite Miners had a tough go at last week’s game, falling to Pulaski Robinson 42-14 on the road.
With the brutal 7-4A schedule rearing its ugly head, it doesn’t get any easier this week as the Miners will host another tough team in the Arkadelphia Badgers.
“They are very, very good,” said Head Coach Daryl Patton. “They are very well-coached. They are playing really well and the quarterback is very sound. The running back may be the best running back in the conference and offensively, they are really dominant.”
Patton said the Badgers are “every bit as good as Robinson.”
Arkadelphia fell to the Senators 21-17 in Week 5.
Sophomore Cannon Turner controls the ball under center and has tossed for 731 yards and seven TDs. In the backfield, junior back Zion Hatley is running rampant, leading the team with 1,021 yards on 120 carries and 20 TDs.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Friday at The Pit.
