PINE BLUFF, AR
PINE BLUFF – The Benton Panthers soccer team wasted little time against the 6A South Conference foe Pine Bluff Zebras on Tuesday. The Panthers scored nine goals in the first half on their way to a 12-0 rout to improve to 7-1 overall and 6-1 in the South.
“We possessed real well and played simple,” Benton Coach Bobby Winn said. “That led to a good win.”
Senior Andy Giron led the way for the Panthers scoring five goals, all in the first half, and junior Aaron Norris assisted on five goals himself to help the Panthers stay in a tie for first with the Hall Warriors in conference play.
