Miller extends career with SAU

Early in her high school career, Rachael Miller made the decision that she was going to play college basketball.
So she spent every day in the gym, working out, practicing and trying to get herself better for the future.
On Thursday, all of her hard work and sacrifice paid off as she signed with Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia to play college basketball for Julio Pacheco and the Lady Muleriders.
“She is probably one of the hardest-working kids outside of the gym that I have ever coached,” Bryant Head Coach Brad Matthews said. “She is a high-quality person and player.”
In her senior year, Miller averaged 4.7 points per game and 5.2 rebounds. She shot 71 percent from the line.
“The coach is real nice and he believes I will be a good fit,” Miller said. “I am ready to be a part of their team.”
